A cyberattack has been disclosed by Abbott, the company behind cancer diagnostics business Exact Sciences, following its recent $21 billion purchase.[4428788] The attack is believed to have occurred after Abbott's acquisition of Exact Sciences in March, which saw diagnostics sales grow more than 40% in the second quarter.[4296635] However, Abbott did not disclose what kind of information was accessed or affected during the cyberattack.[4428788]
